The banks themselves are the life and soul of the Devon Hedge. It is essential that they are kept in good condition.
Over time, banks will often begin to fall down, in many instances due to livestock climbing up them, gradual erosion from heavy rain, tree roots pushing out the stone or large machinery / vehicles coming into contact with them.
I'm skilled in bank repair and can either rebuild them with turf using a Devon shovel or with stone, depending on what was already there before. I always aim to make sure it is in-keeping with the original construction.
